The Board’s Role in Attracting and Developing High Quality Teachers and The Board’s Role in  Evaluating, Training and Supporting High-Quality Teacher workshops have been cancelled. NYSSBA is tentatively planning to offer this topic as a special workshop at our Annual Convention, October 15-18, 2009.  Keep checking your convention e-mails for additional details.

 

New for 2009! NYSSBA is excited to offer the Leadership Toolbox Series, trainings constructed to provide both veteran and new school board members with targeted information on specific topics and the “tools” needed for implementation back at their school district.

Highlights of the workshops include:

  • Four-hour morning sessions, so you can get back to your regular schedule by lunchtime
  • Focused content on an individual topic, with associated current practices, research and success stories
  • A practical “toolbox” you can walk away with, filled templates, check-off lists, samples and other topically-focused resources.

The intent of the Leadership Toolbox Series it to arm you with the tools you need to return to your district and immediately put your new skills and knowledge to use.
